Kimberley Kaufman, (OTA)

Hi, I’m Kim! I work as an occupational therapist assistant (OTA) under the supervision of Heidi Watson. I mainly work with children and young adults who need support to handle the stressors and symptoms of ADHD, ASD, anxiety, depression, and PDA. I am committed to learning as much as possible about supporting children, youth, and young adults on their developmental journey. I am a 3rd-year Bachelor of Social Work student learning about and implementing creative interventions, evidence-based and person-centered approaches, and incorporating strengths-based practices. My experience working with young adults and children as a swimming instructor helps me continue to learn and try again when I miss the mark in sessions! Fun fact: I love animals and can be found trying to befriend any I meet. As a born and raised farmgirl, I’ve met cows, horses, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, and chickens. Out of all these hundreds of animals, I have only met three (my sister’s cat, a cow born the same year as me, and a rooster) I could not befriend. Kimberley Kaufman

Jenessa Spencer (OT)

Jenessa Spencer (Occupational Therapist)

Hello, my name is Jenessa Spencer, and I’m an Occupational Therapist registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT). Through the University of Manitoba, I completed the Master of Occupational Therapy program and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology. I have experience providing support for children and adolescents with developmental or cognitive disorders, sensory processing challenges, self- regulation challenges, and navigating through trauma. As an OT, I look at all aspects of the individual and seek to understand the relationship between one’s personal characteristics, environmental factors, and participation in daily occupations (tasks/activities). Gaining this understanding can help to determine where further support or positive changes can be made to help improve one’s daily function and well-being. I use a client-centered and strength-based approach with each client, and I seek to create an environment that feels safe and inviting for all individuals. My aim is for individuals to leave each session with a sense of empowerment as they work towards reaching their unique goals.
