Occupational Therapy Assistant

Hi, I’m Andrew and I am excited to join Tumbleweed Health Services as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA)! I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelors in Honors Psychology, and I’m currently a 2nd year MEd Counselling Psychology student, which has taught me the importance of evidence-based and person-centered approaches to supporting others. Having spent time working with children with ASD in play-based settings and helping young adults with ASD and ADHD in a psychotherapeutic context, I’m looking forward to working as an OTA and supporting individuals in a context that feels familiar to them. In particular, as a lifelong gamer, I’m looking forward to bringing together video games and virtual therapy in a way that best supports an individual reach their goals, whatever those might be. During my free time, I tend to spend a lot of time outside doing whatever I can – hiking, running, and backpacking are a few of my favourites! I also love to read, write, play video games, and cook/bake.
